In the summer of 2019, our members, Anh, Duy, and Teman, along side with Andrew and Andy from Rising Phoenix Lion Dance Association had the opportunity to travel to Vietnam for our annual Charity Mission Trip. Our organization was able to contribute $13,000.00 in food, school supplies, and other necessities to the unfortunate adults and children at 6 different locations in Đắk Lắk, Phú Yên, and Gia Lai Provinces.

From August 25–27, 2025, our team journeyed to Quảng Ngãi, Vietnam, where we had the honor of reaching 2,214 underserved individuals across 9 different locations. Over the course of 3 meaningful days, we distributed $42,500 worth of gifts — including school supplies, candy, backpacks, rice, cooking oil, sugar, instant noodles, and more. This effort was not just about providing necessities, but also about bringing hope, joy, and support to the communities we visited.

In just 24 hours, we journeyed across 3 different cities and 7 locations, drove 26 hours, and delivered 2,054 care packages filled 10kg of rice, cooking oil, soy sauce, a box of instant noodles and a bag of sugar to those in need. Bringing smiles and hope to unserved primary school students with donated school supplies, SP backpacks, candy, and snacks. With $35,000 in aid, we brought hope to the people of Lâm Đồng province.

It is special to be able to do what you are passionate about and use it as a platform to do something even greater. For us, we are extremely fortunate to be able to use the art of Lion and Dragon dancing to connect us back to our roots, and help less fortunate people in the country of Vietnam.
