About Us

Soaring Phoenix is a 501(C)(3) Non-Profit Organization based in Houston, Texas, that was formed in September of 2008 by Alex Tran. Our team consist of members ranging from the ages of 7-32 years old residing from all parts of Houston such as Cypress, Spring, Katy, Richmond, and Pearland. As an organization that is not affiliated with any religious organizations, 100% of our financial assets goes towards our team funds and mission trips in Vietnam where we assist orphans and those who are less fortunate.

Con Rồng Cháu Tiên

Many people have asked us why we have decided to use a different team name in Vietnamese rather than translate Soaring Phoenix into Vietnamese. The reason being is: We take a tremendous amount of pride in being Vietnamese Americans. We believe that upholding our culture and history is imperative to our future generations and our families. So, we chose the history of Con Rồng Cháu Tiên because of its infamous story that represents Vietnamese people and their values. Thus, to our Vietnamese community, we are known as Đoàn Lân Hội Từ Thiện Con Rồng Cháu Tiên.
